Koncovka, 6-hole flute, double flute

Small edge flutes are very popular especially for their interesting sound and tonal range. Compared to fujaras, they are shorter in length and cheaper.

The simplest of the whistles is called koncovka. When a player playing on koncovka, the pitch is corrected by air pressure and closing the bottom bore hole. The 6-hole flute is basically the same as koncovka, but the missing tones of the major scale can be played thanks to the 6 holes. The double flute is a combination of a 6-hole flute and koncovka. When a player playing the double flute, it is possible to play both flutes at the same time, which creates a unique harmony.
